NFL Quarterback Duos

by Frank Gantz on September 22, 2009

What teams in the NFL have had the best set of quarterbacks in their history?  The factors in determining the best are that the team must have 2 QBs that are either in the Hall of Fame or have a solid chance of getting there, or started in a Super Bowl.  Here is my ranking of the 11 sets that would qualify using the stipulations above.

  1. Dallas Cowboys: Roger Staubach (HOF, 4 SB) & Troy Aikman (HOF, 3 SB)
  2. Indianapolis Colts: Johnny Unitas (HOF, 1 SB) & Peyton Manning (1 SB)
  3. San Francisco 49ers: Joe Montana (HOF, 4 SB) & Steve Young (HOF, 1 SB)
  4. Pittsburgh Steelers: Terry Bradshaw (HOF, 4 SB) & Ben Roethlisberger (2 SB)
  5. Miami Dolphins: Bob Griese (HOF, 3 SB) & Dan Marino (HOF, 1 SB)
  6. Green Bay Packers: Bart Starr (HOF, 2 SB) & Bret Favre (2 SB)
  7. New England Patriots: Drew Bledsoe (1 SB) & Tom Brady (4 SB)
  8. Denver Broncos: Craig Morton (2 SB) & John Elway (HOF, 5 SB)
  9. St. Louis Rams: Norm Van Brocklin (HOF) & Kurt Warner (3 SB)
  10. New York Giants: Y.A. Tittle (HOF) & Eli Manning (1 SB)
  11. Washington Redskins: Sammy Baugh (HOF) & Sonny Jurgensen (HOF)
