5 Indicators That You Are Driving in Tennessee

by Frank Gantz on December 29, 2009

On Tuesday, Suzie and I drove from Louisville, KY to Chattanooga, TN.  We will return on Saturday.  I will again make the drive next week and then again in a few more weeks.  Here are ways in which you can tell you are driving in Tennessee.

1.  A Cracker Barrel restaurant is located at every other exit.  You won’t have to miss a good southern breakfast.

2.  Whiskey distillery signs popup in dry counties.

3.  You can get a lifetime supply of fireworks at any one of the 158,358 firework stores along the Interstate.

4.  Ruby Falls on Lookout Mountain has more signs than firework stores.  I guess we’ll have to check it out.

5.  Somebody is always driving in the passing lane at least 10 miles per hour under the speed limit.
