On Sunday, 9/10/06, Suzie and I watched the Jacksonville Jaguars defeat our Dallas Cowboys 24-17 in Jacksonville.
We scalped 2 seats on the top row of the lower level even with the end line. Several interesting things:
- Roy Williams made the interception pictured to the right. He is my favorite current Cowboy. As a former OU Sooner and current Cowboy, that’s an easy pick.
- Terrell Owens played his first game as a Cowboy. The picture below is of his first TD catch as a Cowboy.
- Troy Aikman and Joe Buck were
behind us in the announcer’s booth for Fox Sports. - Early crowd was heavily Cowboy fans. As stadium filled, Jag fans became very vocal.
- 4 F15 jets did pre-game flyover. They were awesome. They barely cleared the top of the scoreboards. They were incredibly close and really juiced up the crowd.
- One of the funniest things I’ve seen at a game. During one of the first TV timeouts, the Jag defense came on the field and were waiting for the Dallas offense, which was in the huddle. The loud speaker at the stadium started playing a rather upbeat song. The entire front 7 of the Jag defense began dancing and really fired up the crowd.
