Quotes

Here is the powerhouse of this church.
–Charles Spurgeon

We often treat prayer the way kids treat their green vegetables – we know it’s good for us, we know it will help us be stronger and grow more, but we mostly pick at it.
–Zach Barnhart

Though indeed our prayers ought to embrace the whole world, as love does, from which they flow; it is yet right and meet that we should be peculiarly solicitous for godly and holy men.
–John Calvin

The movements of God’s servants may be controlled by prayer. You cannot tell how much of blessing will come to your own souls, through the ministry, if you are in the habit of praying about it. The man comes up to God’s house, having prayed for God to bless the preacher, is not likely to go away unprofited.
–Charles Spurgeon

The servant of Christ stands in tremendous need for prayer. We are men, we are weak, we are sinful, we are foolish, we are ignorant, we are erring and we desperately need the prayers of the saints. And we need a double portion of the Holy Spirit.
–John MacArthur
