Moses or Psychologist: One of them May be High

Did Moses get tablets of stone on Mt. Sinai or just get stoned? If you believe Benny Shanon, a professor of cognitive psychology at Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Moses must have been as high on drugs as he was high on the mountain. He left the Israelites at the foot of the mountain and he took a little trip.

I could go on – stoned, high, trip. It really is comical that a supposedly smart man can be so stupid. Shanon’s rationale? He can’t believe in a supernatural event, nor does he believe Moses is merely legend. The only thing left is to think that Moses was high when he saw the burning bush and/or when he was radiant.

Simon comes to this possibility because of his own experience in using drugs during a supposedly spiritual experience in the Amazon. Maybe Simon just fried his own brain.
