If drug dealers make so much money, how come they still live with their moms?

Columbia University sociologist Sudhir Venkatesh studied gangs and drug activity in Chicago housing projects. According to a story on his findings in US News & World Report (Jan 21, 2008), 95% of dealers earn less than minimum wage and have to live with mom or some other relative.

Remember that the next time you hear a knucklehead say that he can’t work for minimum wage flipping burgers at McDonalds’s.
